GI Bill Rates Increase for 2018

A $5 and $10 bill

Every year GI Bill rates increase based on the average increase of the price of higher education in the US. The VA adjusts the monthly GI Bill rates accordingly at the beginning of each fiscal year.

These rates are for those attending college, technical schools, apprenticeships, and correspondence training. They are effective from October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.

The increased GI Bill rates are effective for the following programs:

Additionally the VA has released the increased subsistence rates for the Vocational Rehabilitation and Education program.

The Post-9/11 GI Bill housing allowance and foreign & private school maximum tuition reimbursement rates were increased on August 1, 2017 and are effective through July 31, 2018.
