Golf may be one of the few group activities this summer that can get players outside and still allow them to practice proper social distancing. If you leave the cart behind, there's a good walk and fresh air to be had.

The Folds of Honor military charity has teamed up with Walter Hagen apparel to offer a line of golf wear that's on sale now at DICK's Sporting Goods stores and online.

Folds of Honor also plans to hold its annual Patriot Golf Day fundraiser over Labor Day weekend with tournaments and donation boxes at golf courses around the country. Of course, events are subject to local rules during the pandemic. You can go to the organization's Patriot Golf Day page to locate a participating course near you.

Folds of Honor offers education scholarships to the families of those injured or lost in combat. The scholarships are available for students pursuing higher education, but they also offer financial support for children in K-12 programs including tuition, tutoring, homeschooling and book or uniform expenses.

The apparel on sale at DICK's includes red, white and blue themed shirts, solid golf polos, digi camo shirts and shorts, an embroidered canvas belt, and two styles of hats. The shirts feature moisture wicking to keep you cool on and off the golf course, and include UPF 50+ technology to fight the sun's rays. Check out the full line at Walter Hagen Folds of Honor Collection or Walter Hagen Folds of Honor Solid Polos.

A portion of the proceeds from sales of the gear will fund the Folds of Honor scholarship mission.
